Warning! Macjournal ate my hard drive

I've used MacJournal since it came out and have always loved it. BUT, last week, I noticed that my new 320 Mini was almost full and it had had less than 90 gigs on it. ( I'm running 6.2). I did all the usual stuff, Disc Utility, Onyx to clean caches and logs, etc. etc. Finally got a great program called Daisy Disc which shows what space programs were taking up. I was astounded to find that MacJournal was taking up 283 gigs!!!!! The data file alone was 6 gigs. I only use this as a text journal, no videos, images.
Took overnight to delete the program and everything and empty the Trash. I copied the the data files to an external drive in case I could retrieve the actual entries.
I checked my laptop, running Leopard, where I have MacJournal installed but seldom use, and it had grown to 60 gigs! Got rid of it there, too.
I've written to Mariner and have yet to receive even an acknowledgement of my problem.
So check your MacJournal files in your home library.

Good work Dan. You're certainly coming a ways with MacJournal. Couple of items that I would suggest that receive attention rather quickly:
1) Better WordPress support in the way of keeping a two way sync of blog entries so that you don't have to download them but rather always keep them sync'd in a folder
2) Show media such as embedded YouTube, Vimeo, whatever, videos and other media directly in the journal entries.
If you could get these in place and any other blog related WYSIWYG type of additions in place I believe you'll have a MarsEdit killer in addition to your regular other good feature set.

So, I am back to recommending MacJournal and one of the must-have applications on my Mac
