Version upgraded, but speed downgraded ? - Version: 6.2, 11/9/2003 08:26AM PST

I'm using ImageViewer for slide show presentation since version 4.x. But it's the slowest version I've ever used. I've tried to remove the old version and old preference, but it didn't work. If you have version 6.12 and have no trouble with it, don't upgrade.

It's about time! I though development had ceased on this great application, and so I went and shelled out $15 for ViewIt. Where was my faith? : )
Although this does not replace dedicated asset management programs, not the more expensive conversion batch processors like GraphicConverter (or the old DeBabelizer). However, most of the major functions I need to preview, sort and manipulate the hundreds to thousands of images I generate every month are here in one package.
I've been bugging the developer of ViewIt to add the simple feature of dragging and dropping for reorganization in thumbnail view, and without response. It was extremely frustrating. So, I guess it's time to "pony up" another $35 and purchase this fine app, I guess. This (was) IS ONCE AGAIN the best image organization tool I've seen. I am glad it's back on track...thank you, thank you...yes...yes...yes...yes...YES!!
I'll wait to rate this until I've run it through the its paces. The last version had some refresh issues when drag-reordering, but probably because the OS moved on and development on ImageViewer lagged behind. I am one guy that hopes this developer will stay the course this time. There is no other program quite its equal. WELCOME BACK. Expect my payment poset haste!

Can't find anything like ACDsee for the PC... - Version: 6.1.2, 7/16/2003 07:33PM PST

I have been going through every OSX app trying to find something that acts like ACDSee for the PC... Nothing works... The version of ACDSee for the mac is apparently not maintained and is buggy.
I don't understand how people get anything done without a basic image viewer with:
1) open with file association or drag and drop to get to directory
2) view thumbnails in a reasonable period of time
3) full screen view
4) move forward/back and delete in full screen mode.
So far all of the OSX apps have sucked... still looking.
