Presentation Prompter ReviewOops 3 minute limit ! Demo fail ! - Version: 4.2, 8/2/2009 01:05PM PST

Ok, well this overly expensive software just neutered itself with a 3 minute demo limit. This negates any attempts to use it.

Presentation Prompter ReviewSurprisingly simple. - Version: 4.2, 8/2/2009 11:45AM PST

OSXLITTLE

I have just trashed three other teleprompter softwares here for what I consider the worst blasphemies of all software makers. Demo's that don't work, demo's that are so limited that if they do work, WHO CARES ! It's refreshing to find an app anyone can use and does what it says. It's raw and simple but it does exactly what you would hope, be useful. AND THE DEMO WORKS !

My only problem is with the price. 65 dollars for teleprompter software ? Do you guys just sit down and make up these numbers ? Charging more then what game companies pay a 100 people for to do with licensing costs ? Sure they sell more but this is ridiculous ! 25 dollars an app would be totally doable and cut down on bootleg, theft and hate . It's too much guys.

Presentation Prompter ReviewSolid Product - Version: 4.2, 7/22/2008 07:01AM PST

I have looked at and/or purchased most of the teleprompter software for OSX. This one is head and shoulders over all of them. It is written using the OSX programming features, which means the text flows smoothly, it is rock solid, and looks and feels like an OSX application. Don't worry about running multiple screens, this software is so good at operator input you won't miss it. You can scroll the text with your finger on a trackpad, have it roll by with very good control on speed and speed changes, and best of all it supports chapter markers to go directly to a predefined location. Text is imported at standard sizes (12 point) and scaled up to fit on screen in % fashion. This is done through the quartz imaging system and looks great.

It imports MS Word documents without any hassle, which is a big time saver for me. I used it on a recent project and it proved itself under the stress of production. In comparison to others I have purchased:

iPrompter - clunky interface, lots of trouble importing files, useless editor
Script Q - imported from windows, runs badly and crashes, windows interface, expensive

I highly recommend this product.
