I just downloaded this software, and it does exactly what it says it will. I am using it to really automate some Automator scripts.
Applescript timebomb? - Version: 2.2, 2/10/2005 02:17PM PST

Would this app help me add a simple timebomb feature to apps I have developed? I'm looking for something that would add a trial or demo period to a program, so if people don't pay, it stops operating.
If you downloaded between August 1 and 4, 2004 ... - Version: 2.1, 8/4/2004 08:18PM PST

If you downloaded Version 2.1 between August 1 and 4, 2004 please do so again. After the initial posting, a small error was discovered that would drastically shorten the trial period. It was corrected on August 4. Sorry for any inconvenicenc.

easy to use, comes with useful scripts

The program (2 programs really, the scheduling engine runs invisibly in the background) is easy to use and comes with five sample AppleScript scripts. This latest version even includes a script for controlling iTunes.
more flexible and user friendly than cron - Version: 2.0.1, 7/15/2003 09:52PM PST

cron is fine if you are familiar with Unix and can live with its limitations. Script Timer is a Macintosh program with a full drag and drop interface - no command line to fuss with and no arcane scheme for specifying your schedule. The author compares cron to Script Timer on the program's FAQ page. In short, cron is meant to run command line programs, while Script Timer is designed to control real Mac programs with Graphical User Interfaces through AppleScript.
I'd say this program is well worth the small registration fee for ease of use and several features not available with cron.

Your computer comes with software to do this for free - Version: 2.0.1, 7/14/2003 06:00AM PST

Unix systems have a program called cron. This will run any program at any time with any pre-set periodicity. You just tell it when and how often in a file called crontab. There is one for the system and one can be made for each user.
Open a terminal and type
man crontab
for more information.

possible error with 10.2.6 - Version: 2.0, 5/7/2003 11:02PM PST

I've only just installed this yesterday. I tried using it once but it didn't work. For reasons unknown to me the script didn't run when it was supposed to.
I've just installed OS X 10.2.6 and now it doesn't run at all. I get an error "variable md not defined" when starting up the schedule engine.
