Product Description:

AppleWorks combines word processing, page layout, image manipulation, spreadsheets, databases and presentations in a single application. To help users easily and effectively express their ideas, AppleWorks provides users with direct access to a dynamic library of Internet-based templates that assist in the creation of professional looking documents, such as newsletters, business cards, mailing labels and party invitations. In addition, AppleWorks features enhanced formatting tools that enable one-click integration of text, spreadsheet, images and movies into a single document.

What's new in this version:

Improvements to the presentation module, AppleScript, web content searching, printing, label printing, table support, and spell checking with user added words. The update provides better recognition and handling of Office 97 and Office 2000 files, improved support for multimedia files in database documents, improved web template downloading over slow internet connections, improved spreadsheet module--including Auto-Calculation, as well as enhanced support for documents which contain links. This version also supports web based templates and clipart on networks using proxy servers.

Crashes OS 10.6.1 - Version: 6.2.9, 11/10/2009 12:41PM PST

Doesn't like Snow Leopard. I have to constantly save my work because as sure a god made little green apples, Appleworks will just quit.

Don't know why. Guess that's why Apple wants you to use iWorks. Rosseta just doesn't translate PPC code for an intel Mac very well.

Problem with that is; There's no draw/paint function.
