Product Description:

Glypha III is a classic arcade game by John Calhoun in which you are placed inside an Egyptian temple with only your lance and a winged steed to aid you, here you are forced to do battle with Sphinxes in order to gain the honour of a place on the High Scores list. The game is based on Joust and features sound and the original animated graphics. Both the game and its source code are released into the public domain.

What's new in this version:

  • At the title screen, the thunder now appears to join in front of where the cursor points.
  • The cursor is now obscured during game play.
  • Documentation has been updated.

Brings back memories. Two things it could use, most of all it needs to recognize cmd+h to be hidden, much needed when playing stealthily at work. The other is a pause command. I realize that clicking out of the game pauses it, but there may as well be a real pause as well.

I got over 58,000 on my first game. Is that good? Runs great on my PowerBook G4 with 10.3.1.

I used to play this game on my SE/30. That was 12 years ago. Still fun!
