Cabrio X ReviewActually, there's loads wrong with it... - Version: 1.1b1, 4/25/2004 02:34AM PST

Although I'm still using Cabrio (for a very specific purpose which it satisfies), there's loads wrong with it. If it fails to play a file (because of format etc) it carries on playing the prior track, but *believes* that it's playing the one you chose. The skin keeps going broken (the playlist window has lines all over it and is difficult to read. It's functional, but only with patience.

Cabrio X ReviewPerfect for my purposes. Bit wonky. - Version: 1.1b1, 3/12/2004 03:04PM PST

It's great at what it does - plays mp3s, WAVs, AIFFs, etc - and the interface is a tiny tiny unobtrusive little "rack unit"-type affair. Perfect for what I want.

Unfortunately the graphics are all wonky and weird on my installation. The playlist has horrible vertical stripes obscuring the track names, the "Don't open" button looks more like a "on't ope" button, and the rack unit itself has an odd dotted line across its top and bottom (perhaps on purpose? but I doubt it).

However, despite all this I'll recommend it since it seems pretty hardy and doesn't take too much of my CPU or screen space.
