Product Description:

FileType is an application to change the file types (type- and creator-codes) of files. You can save the file types you frequently use in a database so you don't have to remember them. It's very easy to use.

What's new in this version:

icons of files and file types are now displayed
supports drag & drop of files in the list of known file types in order to add the file type to the database
supports sorting of database entries using drag & drop
you can now select multiple files in the list - when clicking the "Change" button, file types of all selected files will be changed
added "Select All" menu item for use in file list box and in text fields
a copy of the database will be opened instead of the original - this is because the database will get corrupted if the app crashes
many small bug fixes, some small GUI changes
now natively supports Mac OS X
increased the memory size because the icon functionality requires a lot of it
the folder scan is now watching the available memory and will stop before it gets very low
added "Edit Database" menu item
increased version number to 1.0b, because this should be the last beta release and runs very stable
