I've tried them all and this is the best. Fast, clean and efficient indexing of hundreds of CD's and DVD's.
Trusty application for years

It's true that 4.2.2 had a few quirks and it's also true that this app is often updated, but 'daily' is a little exaggerated.. usually about once every 3 or 4 months and you can always choose to ignore updates or even opt not to check at all for updates.
The basics of DiskCatalogMaker havn't changed for years, but every now and then there is something extra added, like the iTunesque 'CoverFlow' feature, which really makes it nice to look at what already is a fast and stable tool.
I've used it for ages and it is still fast when you throw 250+ disks at it. It still opens in seconds, while it contains over 1.500.000 items.

Why does this app get updated virtually every day? - Version: 4.4.1b5, 5/18/2008 08:39PM PST

Aside from possible pseudo "incremental bug fixes", I'm thinking its more of a daily "bump" as a means of free advertising. I dig the app, but I just get sick of seeing pop up in the list every day. How many "bugs" can one app have?
