I find ImageBuddy can do some things for me that I can't do in Photoshop. I love the ability to print contact sheets with labeling just the way I want, and so easily! I just wish I could close windows and reopen new ones without restarting the application.

ImageBuddy ReviewClever product whose usefulness is limited by inability to free rotate iamges. - Version: 3.5.0, 11/7/2006 06:41AM PST

Image Buddy is a cool little app. What appealed to me most was the ability to create a collage of photos on a single page, apply masks to each photo independently of the other and then be able to print the collage. However I was very disappointed to discover that you cannot free-rotate, or specify increments of rotation other than 90 and 180 degrees. This unfortunately makes it a deal breaker for me... but maybe not for you.

The sperately downloadable documentation is very well done and quite complete.

Add free-rotate capability and you've got my order.

I've been fooling around with this little program for a little over a month. First of all (and alone worth the shareware fee I paid), it allows me to print to my Canon CP-200 photo printer without leaving white margins like iPhoto does. Second, creating montages of related photos on a single page, with or without text is supercool, fun, and gets lots of oohs and aahs from your family, friends, co-workers, etc. For a non-professional photo hobbyist, this is great software. Thanks!

ImageBuddy ReviewGreat Results! - Version: 3.1.3, 11/9/2004 06:11AM PST

Does things that iPhoto wishes it could do. My photos look much better output from Imagebuddy than they did from iPhoto. This software runs rings around Portraits and Prints. Lots of great extra features like masking, shadows, watermarks, and on and on. The Auto color feature makes better adjustments than Photoshop with just one click!

i bought a couple of picture frames recently with multiple sizes and, without even reading any documentation, was easily able to arrange my pictures and print them all on one page. One suggestion would be to include some basic image editing features, such as adjusting brightness/contrast or color.

ImageBuddy CommentaryLove it but - Version: 3.1.3, 9/10/2004 10:32AM PST

ImageBuddy is great - but as far as I can tell it's missing one critical feature - the ability to specify a print-space color profile for printing.

Being able to save contact sheets to a file mitigates this, as I can print from photoshop, but it seems like a weird and messy solution, I'd be a lot happier if I could print directly from ImageBuddy.

ImageBuddy has made printing photos easy and even fun. You can fill a whole page with images and size each as you wish. Great controls and quality output. With GraphicConverter and ImageBuddy, I have been able to handle any photo printing project on my color inkjet printer. "Buddy" now joins GraphicConverter as one of my essential applications and best Mac friends!

ImageBuddy Troubleshooting ReportIs this the Answer? - Version: 3.1.2, 8/25/2004 01:43PM PST

I recently purchased a G4 PowerBook (Hammerhead) and a Epson Stylus Pro 4000 for my digital photography business. I wasn't too impressed with the iphoto software that came with it because it didn't allow me to batch my photos the way that I wanted to. I'm currently using 10-inch wide "roll paper". And right now I'm wasting paper each time I print. I've got an older Photoshop (vers.9) that's installed on my iBook. Is Image Buddy the software that I need? I'm willing to pay for the best that is out there.

ImageBuddy ReviewHole punch offset? - Version: 3.0, 6/19/2004 10:43AM PST

I have to say I like this software it allows for easy and consistent results.

The feature I would like to see is the ability to select all the images I want to print and have them all placed with one click. Right now you have to pick each image and place and then move on to the next.

I use sheet protectors that have their own holes and are large enough for the paper I print on. This way I just alternate the way I load the paper into the protectors , and never have to worry about even being bothered with the hassel of hole punching my sheets.
