Apple Performance Update ReviewFInally! - Version: 1.0, 10/15/2009 05:37PM PST

I have had the sporadic "30 second" beachball issue on my mini since I bought it in March. I submitted this issue to different forums and no one responded so I assumed it was just my mini.

I was happy to see this update, even though I was skeptical it was for the problem I was having. Specifically, the computer would freeze (except mouse pointer) at any given time regardless of what I was doing. It would even happen when I wasn't doing anything and suddenly the spinning beachball would appear. It only last about 30 seconds each time, long enough to piss me off.

Several hours into the update and no spinning beachballs. I am very pleased this issue was resolved. I only wish it had been sooner than 8 months.

Several hours in and so far I'm happy to be computing without the constant beach ball hangups.
It appears that this update is true to it's name.

Apparently a succesful beachballectomy.
