I thought this app was amazing. It fits a fairly powerful client in a very small space. Everything is displayed in the menu bar. I wouldn't have imagined that you could fit all the important features into a menu bar app but Twit Menulet does it. The display is attractive and all the power features are there including multiple accounts, conversation threading, bit.ly integration, etc. I think this will be my default client for a while.
Nice idea, doesn't work in real life - Version: 1, 8/28/2009 12:17PM PST
Paradoxial
The idea of tweets scrolling in a ticker in your menubar sounds nice, until you try and read the text whizzing by or have an application that actually needs the wide menubar real estate this takes up. Twitteriffic still wins, in that it only takes an icon in my menubar. While I can't read them in a ticker with Twitteriffic, I think the nausea I felt during the Twit Menulet trial indicates that might not be such a bad thing.
For those who do like this app, though, check out the offer on the developer's page to trade links for a free activation. It's a nice idea.
