Product Description:

SQLGrinder is a native Mac OS X SQL editor and developer tool which allows database developers to easily create, edit and execute SQL queries as well as browse their database structures.

Using SQLGrinder and JDBC drivers, developers can connect to any databases that supports JDBC, including Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, FrontBase, Openbase SQL, Microsoft SQL Server and Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise. Because SQLGrinder is built using Apple's Cocoa framework, it looks and feels like a Macintosh OS X application and adheres to Apple's Aqua Human Interface Guidelines.

SQLGrinder provides many features that add to developer productivity and make building SQL queries and database schemas easier than it has ever been on the Macintosh:
  • Support for any database with an available JDBC driver
  • Multiple editor windows and schema browsers
  • Result sets displayed in data tables that can be searched and sorted
  • Export of delimited text from data tables
  • Data snapshots that provide temporary result set views
  • Interactive SQL statement library that maintains query history
  • Built with Cocoa, follows the Aqua Human Interface Guidelines
This new version has been completely rewritten from the ground up and features many new and improved features including faster overall performance, multiple editor and result set history buffers, code completion using database keywords and table, column and procedure names, client-side result set searching and sorting, sleep detection, table add, drop and truncate functionality, improved data import and export and much more.

Owners of the current version can purchase an upgrade for only $19 by sending their current registration information to upgrades@sqlgrinder.com.

SQLGrinder CommentaryNo longer... - Version: 2.0.8, 9/29/2009 12:35PM PST

Pukku--2008
This app was great in Leopard, but the developer doesn't seem to be updating it to work in Snow Leopard. It's a pity, because it was the best SQL management app I had found...

SQLGrinder ReviewVery handy! - Version: 2.0.7, 2/22/2008 07:38AM PST

I bring my laptop to work every day partially so I will have access to this tool. While I will admit that SQLGrinder does not have all of the features of the major tools, it works well and is substantially cheaper.
