LEDAS Driving Dimensions for SketchUp is a plug-in for parametric modification of 3D geometric models in very simple and intuitive way. With Driving Dimensions one can modify any dimension (length, distance, radius, or angle) in any SketchUp model in just one click. All driving dimensions set in one model are satisfied simultaneously. The simplicity of the user interface of Driving Dimensions plug-in hides very strong mathematical algorithms in the field of geometric constraint solving. Parametric design has never been so easy even for beginners.

Version 1.2 of Driving Dimensions plug-in is compatible with Google SketchUp 6.0 and 7.1 (both free and Pro) running on 32-bit versions Windows 2000/XP/Vista as well as on Intel-based Mac OS X 10.4 and above. The Driving Dimensions plug-in for SketchUp is available in two versions: free and Pro. The free version is not intended for commercial purposes and does not allow users to add more than twenty five driving dimensions to one model. What's new in this version:

Version 1.2 contains significant improvements in quality, stability, and performance. They become possible because Driving Dimensions plug-in for SketchUp is based on the next generation of LGS 3D geometric constraint solving software component, which version 2.0 was recently released by LEDAS. The new version allows users to obtain as natural solutions as they can expect. When users modify parameters of driving dimensions, most edges and faces remain unchanged - only few of them are moved to satisfy the new values. Moreover, since the time LGS 3D 2.0 takes to solve constraints has been significantly reduced, Driving Dimensions plug-in is now up to ten times faster than the previous version on large models.

Another important feature of the Driving Dimensions v.1.2 is the multi-language support. Now all tooltips and system messages can be translated to different languages. Version 1.2 already contains two set of built-in languages: English and Japanese.
