Product Description:

Toolbar Extras is a set of Mac OSX applications that are intended to be a more "developer oriented" replacement for the current set of tools in the Finder window.
  • Lock.app - select file(s) and folder(s) and use Lock.app to lock/unlock it... if no selection is made it will work on the current Finder Window
  • Move.app - select file(s) and folder(s) and choose a new location for them.
  • Burn.app - a Quick way to burn the current Finder window to a CD or DVD
  • Delete.app - avoid using the Trash and permanently delete any file or folder
  • Details.app - get a quick list of all files and folders within the current Finder window
  • Eject.app - Use one Eject button to manage all volumes
  • File.app - Quickly create text files (txt, html, php, cgi, etc)... also use "index (1-25).html" to create a list of html files files numbered from 1 thru 25
  • Folder.app - Quickly create new folders... also use "Name (1-25)" to create a series of folders numbering 1 thru 25.
  • GoToFolder.app - a quick reference to "Finder>Go>Go to Folder..."
  • Home.app - a one button solution to get you back to your home folder
  • Info.app - open up the inspector window
  • Invisible.app - Quickly toggle a file/folders visibility/invisibility.
  • Maintenance.app - perform basic cleanup functions and maintenance scripts
  • Pause.app - a portable version of App_Pauser ($9.99 alone)... puase and resume any process to free up CPU.
  • Permissions.app - chmod or chown your files and folders
  • Refresh.app - Simply refresh the current Finder window to update dates and sizes.
  • Server.app - a quick reference to "Finder>Go>Connect to Server"
  • Shutdown.app - quickly shutdown or restart your computer.
  • Toggle.app - Turn on/off the Finders ability to show hidden files
  • Trash.app - securely delete files in the trash for all users on all volumes.
  • Up.app - better than the "Back" button, this button allows you to go back one directory at all times.

There are some useful tools in this package, but I would install only three or four of them. Therefore, I can't see paying for all of them, when most would just gather dust, metaphorically speaking. If they were available for $1 each, say, or in customizable packages of five for $5, it would be a more appealing product. Whether it would be worth the effort for the developer to sell them this way is another question. But it would be more user friendly. No one likes paying for stuff they don't want or don't need.
