The Version Tracker information has not been updated - as is often the case - to reflect the current state of affairs. According to the review this week on Macworld, Cameras is now free, perhaps because some of its features, at least, are rumored to be implemented in Snow Leopard. I'm not sure why that would move the developer to cut the price - Snow Leopard won't be out for some months yet and it will certainly be years before it's the dominant version of OS X, especially given that it won't run on PPC Macs. So Cameras could have remained profitable for some time yet. Still, I installed it and there is no nag to pay for it.

Cameras CommentaryWhy is labelled shareware? - Version: 1.0.1, 7/10/2009 02:25PM PST

On the developer's site it claims to be FREE.

Wouldn't this be FREEWARE instead then?

Cameras CommentaryHow about connecting the camera to Two Apps - Version: 1.0, 6/16/2009 02:24PM PST

Actually I need to connect the Canon 1Ds MkIII to both CaptureOne Pro and Canon's DPP at the same time (since C1Pro doesn't support Live view and DPP doesn't have the same power of C1Pro).
I don't know if this is possible but it would be a great help for me.
to make it even harder... can I connect two cameras to one application, in order to simulate shoot on both cameras at the same time (one with wide angle lens, and other with telephoto lens for example)

thank you for your wonderful application, hope that my dreams could be achieved one day.
