Product Description:

Menu Browser is a small utility program which lets you quickly and easily browse and open your files and folders, without distracting you from your current tasks. The menu resides in the upper-right corner of the screen, so it's always easy to access. You can also bring it up using a hot key, allowing for a keyboard-only navigation. Features include:
  • choose any folders to display in the menu
  • assign any hotkey to the menu
  • folder actions, which enable you to open your folders using Finder, Terminal, iTerm or any custom action specified with an Apple Script
  • file actions, with which you can open a file with any application, send it as a Mail attachment or execute any custom action

What's new in this version:

  • If you have multiple folders defined in the main menu, you can now unwrap any of them, so that their content is visible directly, not in a submenu. The setting is available as a checkbox in the "Folders in Menu" preference pane.
  • It is also possible to display basic file information (size, creation and modified dates) in the submenu for a file. The setting is available in the "Files" preference pane.

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.5 Intel
  • Mac OS X 10.5 PPC

Menu Browser ReviewButler and FinderPop are FREE and BETTER - Version: 1.1, 6/15/2009 11:58AM PST

It seems like there are just endless attempts made to fleece dollars out of the uninformed by someone coming up with something that already exists for free does it better. Try Butler which does this and more from the menubar and FinderPop which allows for it from a mouse position anywhere. Then take your hard-earned $5 and put it in the jar for a rainy day.

Classic Menu is still the best. And it puts the menu where it should be: top left, not top right.
