AldorfManThe new merging option is a very good addition and makes this the main converter tool you need for OSX.
Would love to give 4 stars

MisterMacintoshBest looking OS X converter imo. And most important it does everything very well indeed.
I am not a video enthousiast but need to convert ones in a while a file or two to my iPod Touch.
All files I converted are of a very good quality without changing anything.
To be honest, I did not dig into this very deep but it seems to have a lot of options to go for. I only use the iPhone preset.
The developer is also very responsive to my requests. Always good to know imo
By FAR the best OSX converter on the market.

MorganFreezerDropped a lot of files in the window and they all showed up in the list except one (seems to be a Apple Pro RES file).
Opening the settings window is mind blowing. Really, so many options? Who needs it anyway? It is a good thing they are there for the -power- user. Not for me though. I use presets. I'm lazy.
I selected MPEG4 with the mov container and just for the sake of it I also changed the audio codec to MP3 instead of AAC.
And off we go …
The converting started and the top screen displayed some info - output resolution, file size and the usual ever growing progressbar.q
Converting the first 7MB size video file was very fast ! Playback in VLC (my default player) was of high quality and had no stuttering on both video and audio.
Did some more tests with various codecs and options all with no issues at all. Generally high quality output.
Later on I discovered the preferences had a option to enable multi core cpus. This is disabled by default. Strange. I did not do tests with this option enabled and disabled but I think it will be faster enabled. ;)
What do we have?
This is one hell of a converter with great looks thrown at it. It does the business very well with no issues I encountered. Quality is high by default and can be upgraded if needed.
After so many releases this is bang-on and is clearly on the right pad to become THE converter for OS X.
Highly recommended
