iVideo Converter Troubleshooting ReportHow in the heck do you pay in English! - Version: 2.1.2, 11/28/2009 11:34AM PST

randytk_dotmac
I need a good video convertor but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to pay for this app! I cannot find the English version to submit a payment. Nothing under United States or America.
I would love to try this out in English if possible. Any help?

I am a registered users from day one. This product has grown to a full force converter.
The new merging option is a very good addition and makes this the main converter tool you need for OSX.

And I will come back and do that, but I need my serial number sent (or possibly re-sent). Hoping that my email and/or this review will get that done.

Otherwise I love the product.

iVideo Converter ReviewDoes not support nw Apple Codecs - Version: 2.1, 11/15/2009 05:10PM PST

Ouijaboy
Looks great, many features but does not support Apples ProRes 422 and ProRes 422 (error message). Makes past the post use for FCP users problematic.

It works like a charm, wholly intuitively. I've been trying to make (editable) QT movies out of an old, long-ago copied DVD, which presented me with problematic (for me) ".VOB" files, and have tried a few conversion apps to no avail (OK, maybe the wrong ones, but that was my experience). With this it was a breeze. It seems a bit slow, but then, they're big files, and this doesn't detract from my 5-star rating. And all this for a bargain-basement price. Wow! I didn't comment on "Support/Documentation" because I have had no need for either, so far. That's good.

Just telling you this is a master in converting. I use it daily for converting to my iPhone for about 3 months now and never encountered one issue.
A joy to use and the new V2 GUI is a marvelous.

Support and progress with every update is remarkably fantastic.

Can't wait for the next release ;-) ;-)

Best looking OS X converter imo. And most important it does everything very well indeed.
I am not a video enthousiast but need to convert ones in a while a file or two to my iPod Touch.
All files I converted are of a very good quality without changing anything.
To be honest, I did not dig into this very deep but it seems to have a lot of options to go for. I only use the iPhone preset.

The developer is also very responsive to my requests. Always good to know imo

iVideo Converter ReviewBy FAR the best OSX converter on the market. - Version: 2.0, 8/18/2009 11:52AM PST

Seeing the screenshots it seems to be changed a lot from V1. Actually it now looks the business. Very sleek interface and very well layout. Borrowed some ideas from iTunes and implemented this very well into the converter GUI. Nice.

Dropped a lot of files in the window and they all showed up in the list except one (seems to be a Apple Pro RES file).
Opening the settings window is mind blowing. Really, so many options? Who needs it anyway? It is a good thing they are there for the -power- user. Not for me though. I use presets. I'm lazy.
I selected MPEG4 with the mov container and just for the sake of it I also changed the audio codec to MP3 instead of AAC.
And off we go …
The converting started and the top screen displayed some info - output resolution, file size and the usual ever growing progressbar.q
Converting the first 7MB size video file was very fast ! Playback in VLC (my default player) was of high quality and had no stuttering on both video and audio.
Did some more tests with various codecs and options all with no issues at all. Generally high quality output.
Later on I discovered the preferences had a option to enable multi core cpus. This is disabled by default. Strange. I did not do tests with this option enabled and disabled but I think it will be faster enabled. ;)

What do we have?
This is one hell of a converter with great looks thrown at it. It does the business very well with no issues I encountered. Quality is high by default and can be upgraded if needed.

After so many releases this is bang-on and is clearly on the right pad to become THE converter for OS X.

Highly recommended

Ignore this moron named Born Yesterday, who apparently enjoys writing negative reviews to destroy innocent software developers. Born Yesterday, what's the last software application you have developed?
