Been thrashing all day for two days with nothing ever showing up anywhere plus no ill effects on 9 DragThing Docks over all 4 screen edges, nor with MaxMenus. Better than even when shrinking and hiding it up under the menu bar in pre-Leopard OSs. Promptly responsive developer.

Just tried KNO and the main difference is that DG does the "move the tiny dock location" thing so well. This matters if you have hotcorners. With KOD the presence of its minimized Dock conflicts with that corner (is also 3x longer than DG's - at least on my system). With DG when you mouse to the corner where the Dock might popup the Dock shifts to the opposite corner making the previous corner easily available for hotability.
Still, for the difference between free and $10 ($15 once out of beta), each user must make a decision. Me, I'm opting for DG.

All I want is to prevent the hidden dock from popping up and interfering with what I am doing.
This does that perfectly. I can hide/reveal the dock with a shortcut of my choosing.
Support by the author is superb.
The bad:
When either hiding or revealing the dock, ALL minimized windows become un-minimized.
They pop up like zombies, and interfere with what I am doing.
This would be at least 4 out of 5 if it were not for that.
