Product Description:

If you take a closer look at the MOApp website you will see that my English - well - to be honest: it sucks :-) So Dictionary.app is one of my most used apps. Unfortunately it terminates itself when closed and you always have to reopen it again. So I wrote this little tool to open Dictionary by shortcut or menu bar and maybe it can be useful for others, too... If you want you can add launchDictionary to your startup items (System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items)

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.5 Intel
  • Mac OS X 10.5 PPC

launchDictionary ReviewA good idea.... - Version: 1.0, 4/16/2009 10:34PM PST

It's a good idea. Launch Dictionary with a keyboard combination shortcut. Nice. Apple should have provided this in the first place. Only problem, initial version 1.0 is buggy. Quits on launch. Shoulda had a round of betas first, I guess.

Just activate Spotlight and type your word, and it will show the definition. Then you can choose it to launch Dictionary!
