prefer Postbox to TB

Prefer the new Postbox mail client to Thunderbird. Postbox supports search within your mailbox, Gmail-style conversation view, and photo (attachment) management. I've found it much easier to work with than TB.
Postbox is frequently updated, too. Strongly recommended.

A few days ago, I downloded Thunderbird 3.b02 directly from Mozilla's web site. Creation date 2/18/09. Works perfectly, all its options and functions.
The one I downloaded from the link supplied in VersionTracker, once installed, does not display Preferences, and under 'Help" the option 'Check for updates' is grayed out.
I consider it surprising, I have trashed it, and resumed using Thunderbird 3.0b2, creation date 2/18/09 downloaded from Mozilla's web site.
Therefore I do not recommend the use of the application obtained through VersionTracker's link.
