Handy little app

While it doesn't do anything that even a moderately knowledgeable user cannot do on their own, I find this little app to be a handy and helpful shortcut.
I was curious about this utility and decided to give it a quick try out. However, it fell flat on its face before it even got started. I fired it up and got the following alert message:
"Unable to read system.log.
You must be logged in as an Admin to use TM Error Logger."Â Â [Â OKÂ ]
Click on [Â OKÂ ] and I'm straight back in the Finder.
My day-to-day account is a non-admin account - I spend the majority of my time in it. This error makes the utility un-useable.
In spite of using a non-admin account, I sometimes monitor TimeMachine's activity in Console, without problem. If what the previous comment says about this app simply reading the log file is true, then this would seem to be a nonsense.
Would somebody from Carnation Software care to comment?
