Product Description:

Sweet Home 3D helps you to design your interior quickly and easily: draw the walls of your home upon the image of an existing plan, change the color or the texture of each room, and drag and drop furniture onto the plan from a catalog organized by categories (windows, doors, living room, kitchen...), in which you can import 3D models created by yourself or downloaded from various web sites. All the changes made in the 2D plan are simultaneously reflected in a 3D view, and you can navigate in it either from an aerial view point, or from a virtual visitor view point. Finally, you can improve your home plan by adding dimensions and texts to it, print it along with the 3D view, and export to OBJ format the objects of the 3D view to import them in other 3D software. Sweet Home 3D is available in English, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, German, Spanish, Swedish, Czech, Polish, Hungarian, and Russian.

Sweet Home 3D ReviewExcellent application!! - Version: 1.8, 4/6/2009 06:20PM PST

This app is very intuitive and easy to use. The live "render" of objects is really nice. I do find the mouse input very sensitive when it comes to live pan-arounds though, but not enough to hinder the enjoyment. You can also import 3ds and OBJs models too. Thanks for creating this, it's just awesome!

Sweet Home 3D ReviewVersatile, simple, fun . . . - Version: 1.7, 4/2/2009 12:09PM PST

. . . that says it all, really. I've played around in the past with various house-design programs for Mac and all have been either clunky, far too complicated for my amateur needs, and/or ridiculously expensive. The only reasonable competitor for Sweet Home is Google Sketchup, but SH3D seems to do just about everything Sketchup can and is much easier to use, especially in the latest version.
