If you're looking for a powerful, true vector based Computer Assisted Drawing program that's reasonably priced... then RealCADD is made for you.

What's new in this version:

new contextual menu (right clic) of tools when no object selected, in addition of the contextual menu "Action" when objects selected. The tools displayed in this menu are chosen in the preferences;
possibility of validating the data entered in the pallet "Edit" during the creation of an object, so a polygon can be created only with the keyboard segment after segment. It is better to be in "Clic-clic" drawing mode;
possibility to edit a string by a double clic with the tool Arrow;
in "Select special", select of "nul" strings, i.e. empty or only with spaces;
new short cut key for "Send backward" & "Put in front of";
with the keys Alt (or Option) and Arrow (up or down), you can change the active layer's layout;
possibility to use the key "Escap" to stop the creation of object;
some little bugs fixed;
some other little enhancements;

Looks good, but it is not usable yet. The possibilities to seriously test it are limited because the demo version does not allow to save a file. This fact also indicates this software is not shareware but bayware with a very, very limited demo version (it's not really a trial version if you cannot save a file, IMHO)

I've only used it for one day trying it out, but it works pretty good. It flawlessly imported a DXF file (from an architect) whereas PC programs bungled the import. So I am impressed so far. Price has gone up to $95 versus the $75, but is still competitive with the PC programs.

Panning a program because the developer speaks French is really ugly. CADD programs are expensive and a $75 alternative is to be encouraged. Sure there are a few words in French here and there, but come on, you whiners, most people who live in other countries have to struggle with English-only software. If you know how to use a CADD program, this one will work for you, and you can create new tools using Real Basic scripts.
