Product Description:

Stainless is a multi-process browser for OS X Leopard.

Although Stainless started out as a technology demo to showcase our own multi-processing architecture in response to Google Chrome, we've been inspired by our growing fanbase to forge ahead and craft Stainless into a full-fledged browser. In fact, Stainless now has features you won't find in Chrome or in any other browser.

A prime example is parallel sessions, which allow you to log into a site using different credentials in separate tabs at the same time. This new technology is woven throughout Stainless, from the private cookie storage system, to session-aware bookmarks that remember the session in which they were saved. We're excited to showcase what we believe is a true browser innovation.

What's new in this version:

  • added: global history manager with day/search filtering, copy and delete
  • added: bookmark title, url, tags (for future use) and icon can be changed via the Configure contextual menu item
  • added: user preference for shutting down unresponsive tabs
  • added: new client process launcher
  • fixed: Stainless can get into a state where tabs will no longer open, even on relaunch/reinstall
  • fixed: after long sessions, it is possible for saved bookmarks to completely disappear
  • fixed: bookmarklets execute only if Safari 4 beta is installed
  • fixed: single window mode does not focus on new tabs
  • fixed: user agent doesn't match some sites that check for Safari (e.g. surveymonkey.com)
  • fixed: cookie domain security is overly strict (e.g MySpace captcha)
  • fixed: session-aware bookmarks maintain a live reference to cookies in the session, which can be overridden by continued use of the session

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.5 Intel
  • Mac OS X 10.5 PPC

I tried to hold open 3 different Facebook accounts (GianMarco Tavazzani in English, German and Italian) but it's not working. My mistake or is it impossible? But I can do it using different browsers!

Stainless Usage TipFails to Process "Capcha" on myspace - Version: 0.5.5, 4/9/2009 10:04PM PST

ed.loranger
Enjoying the browser. Found a bug today with the latest release. Prior version did not fail on this.

During security verification on Myspace, using the "Capcha" security feature, the correctly entered text does not forward to verification and it is impossible to pass the capcha test!!!! I have to use a different browser to add new members to my applications during the "Invite" phase of those applications.

Hope it gets fixed soon cuz this browser is streamlined and quick.
