Product Description:

Moving an application to the trash is simple and easy. Shouldn't true uninstallation on the Mac be the same way? With AppTrap, when you move an application to the trash, you're automatically asked if you want to move the associated preference files as well. Now that's uninstallation, the Mac way.

What's new in this version:

Fixed stupid UI bug in fr and nl localizations I introduced by accident in r28

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.5 Intel
  • Mac OS X 10.5 PPC

AppTrap ReviewAppTrap for 10.4 ppc does not install (1.0.5) - Version: 1.0.5, 11/28/2009 04:32PM PST

Sounds great but doesn't work; the pane never loads even after 15 minutes. You hit the button to "start AppTrap" but that doesn't work. Obviously I've uninstalled/reinstalled. Have tried on install to have it for the machine or the user, entered the admin pw but same (no) result. Running 10.4.11

I agree with mikebenda: this seems the best of the app-trashing utilities because it is so simple to use. Trash your unwanted application and let AppTrap clear up after you - or not, if you don't want it to. No problems with Snow Leopard.

AppTrap ReviewThe best one I've tried - Version: 1.0.5, 8/30/2009 10:19AM PST

I like this app a lot; much more than any other I've tried.

It works simply and elegantly, remaining unobtrusive in the background until I drag an application to the trash, then it presents a list of files/folders and asks me if I want to trash them too.

I've recommended it to my friends.
