Of course something's not right. For whatever reason, there are a LOT of developers out there who simply don't comprehend that "freeware" means "an app that doesn't cost anything, not now, not later, not ever." Functionally or time limited demo versions are NOT freeware. OTOH, the download is named as a demo, but after playing it for a while, I saw no features disabled or nags to indicate that I should register and pay for it.

Be that as it may, this developer seems incredibly infatuated with every special effect imaginable, from the way the tiles flow onto the field to the way a match is indicated. I am inclined to think that if the eye candy was to be scaled back, it would not take forever to load and it would perform a tad faster.

I am not especially enamored of apps that provide for absolutely no preferences, however minimal. I don't want music, never will, but I have to turn it off manually every time I play. I am also not in favor of absolutely no capacity for interaction via menu. I would like to undo with a command-z or start a new game with a command-n
