Product Description:

Assimilator is a Mac OS X screen saver that runs other screen savers of your choice on the faces of a bouncing and rotating cube. It's a excellent way to keep your G5 busy. Source code included.

What's new in this version:

  • Added support for Quartz Composer screen savers in Tiger
  • Bug fixes

Note well that it is not universal. It will not install on Intel Macs.

It sounds promising; I wish a version were available that I could run.

I have a dual 1.8 G5 with 1.25Gb ram. This cube crawls along very very slowly

10/8 GHz G4 I get about 20-30 FPS when on just 1 1280x1024 screen and only about 10 FPS when displaying on 2 1280x1024 screens. but it is pretty neat. now... where can i find some savers that don't cost much processor time ;)
