Product Description:

Scheduler for Macintosh is an all-around scheduling application, which has been around since 2001. You can schedule alerts to remind you of tasks you should not forget. Unlike other applications you can use iTunes songs or your own sounds so that your reminder will be accompanied by your favorite song or the sound of your baby laughing. Just record any sound with Scheduler's built-in Sound Manager. You can automate the launching of applications and the opening of documents in the application you want on a specific date and time, or after a period of inactivity, or at computer startup. Just imagine having your documents being opened for you when you start up your computer. Give Scheduler for Macintosh a try and you will see how productive you will become.

Version 5.0.3 includes unspecified updates.

What's new in this version:

  • Mac OS X 10.5 as a minimum requirement for running Scheduler for Macintosh on Intel Macs is now enforced, preventing users from launching the software in earlier versions of the OS (Mac OS X 10.4 remains the minimum requirement for running Scheduler for Macintosh on PowerPC Macs).
  • Bug that prevented the proper saving of the event titles upon renaming an event has been fixed.

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.5 PPC

Scheduler for Macintosh ReviewReview of Scheduler and not the registration process! - Version: 5.0.7, 11/16/2009 12:46AM PST

If anyone saw my comments re registration (now solved), I just want to comment here on the application itself, as it deserves positive comment. The preferences make sense and the range of options is good. I am especially interested in scheduling the opinion of particular programs and replacing my faithful old Reminders program, now not working happily with Snow Leopard. Scheduler performs these functions very well, and the setting up of the actions required is simple. As a freeware/donationware program there is nothing to complain about!

Scheduler for Macintosh CommentaryOK, so what's going on with this Application???? - Version: 5.0.7, 11/8/2009 06:53AM PST

I installed it a month ago and was pleased with it. Then it demanded that I register the program, which I attempted to do, with the required information. However, each time I tried to send that to the email address provided, the email bounced. Now I cannot schedule things I want to open at particular times and I can't contact the developer. PLEASE make your mailbox accessible!! It seems like a good program but it's now broken till I get a registration. Developer - help!!!! if it's only going to work for one month then how can I recommend it?

Scheduler for Macintosh ReviewExcellent Program - Version: 5.0.5, 7/1/2009 01:07PM PST

Works great for me. Provides extremely flexible timing/repeat reminders with very simple interface. One glitch: Reminders box gradually creeps downward and to the right; developer has provided temporary fix, should incorporate fix in program.

I have used Scheduler (originally Macscheduler) for several years and am glad a revised and improved version is now available.
