Firewalk X Commentarydead firewalk? - Version: 2.3.7, 7/10/2005 03:17PM PST

it is too bad. one can only hope the developer is well and not unable to work on this for other reasons. That said, i wonder if there is technical reason in 10.4 that makes and update unlikely.

So it looks like this beautiful piece of software is dead? Really, it's a pity.

Firewalk X CommentaryNo response on Tiger - Version: 2.3.7, 5/4/2005 05:14AM PST

Bernie!
I too have emailed the developers a few days ago asking if FireWak will be ported to OSX 10.4. Still waiting for a response! Looks like I'll have to ditch FireWalk in favour of Little Snitch. As someone said below.... Too bad... It was good software.

Beacause the instaler does not work under Tiger, I've tried to install it manually and also by using Pacifist.
The problem is the .kext does not load neither the dameon...

I'm on my fourth e-mail to developpers without any answer >:o
Too bad for us. The software was really good.

I had the same problem, 2 emails but no answer.

I'll try to install little snitch, net barrier is too expensive for me.

This soft is beautifull.
I can't figure out to work without it now.
The problem is that I've bought Tiger and don't want to install it without FireWalk (The installer does not work for 10.4).

I've already send two e-mails to developper — asking us if a relase for 10.4 was ready — without any answer :/
When you are developping a software, please give answer to your customers. They give us your money buying licenses.

Sorry for my english.

Although the installer kept reporting an error, the reinstallation was apparently ok.
Back in business.

Firewalk X Troubleshooting ReportThe best, when it works... - Version: 2.3.7, 11/15/2004 05:53AM PST

...but it does not seem to like 10.3.6.
After all the usual precautions --repairing permissions etc-- the FW pref pane showed up blank. I uninstalled, and tried to reinstall, but the installer said there were errors, and to try again. I did, and again, and again.

Anyone ok with 10.3.6? Any solution from Pliris?
