We use this in the office to transfer CAD drawings that are too large to email via the free up to 100mb per file service. Many of our clients we send to have problems with the various alternatives, but this service works every time, and with no annoying ads/popups.
The free service limits you to one file per send, however it can be a 100mb zipped file containing as many files as you can get in.
At home, it is great for sending photographs to relations without much computer expertise. YouSendit email you the link to the file and you just email it to all your relations.
Saves sending out CDs with small amounts of data on that are too large to email.
Great "plugins" to send direct from Illustrator, Acrobat, Photoshop etc.
Give it a go !
The app may be freeware but the service is not. You can send 100 mB for free but if you need to send bigger files using YouSendit you need a monthly subscription.
