Adobe Acrobat Troubleshooting ReportAcrobat 9.2 cause Adobe Updater looping - Version: 9.2, 10/15/2009 02:01AM PST

Problem with Adobe CS4 started when Adobe Updater fail to update Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.1.3 to 9.20.

What I did was to uninstall Acrobat Pro 9.1.3, reinstall it from CS4 DVD. Then run updates to 9.2. The update success in this case. However, during the DVD reinstall process many components also have been installed by Adobe CS4 as well.

Now I have another issue occured. Adobe Update in Photoshop CS4 prompted me to install Camera Raw Update 5.5. I did so, but after installed, wnen I run Adobe Updater, it prompt me to update Camera Raw 5.5 Plugin again and again in loop.

I downloaded Camera Raw 5.5 install file from Adobe, run it separately. It won't do anything, stated that I have already had Camera Raw 5.5 installed.

So how can I get out of this annoying problem. Adobe I paid for the product that is getting more and more buggy and complicate!

Can any friend here help me out of this annoying situation? Thank for advice in advance

Adobe Acrobat Troubleshooting ReportSame issue here - Version: 9.2, 10/14/2009 08:09AM PST

One one of my Macs, I had this problem where it wouldn't update, so I removed Acrobat and reinstalled it, and then it has been updating fine ever since. This was three updates ago.

My wife's iMac also has Acrobat, and that one is complaining about the update. So I guess I'll have to do a reinstall.

Removing plugins or extra languages is part of the issue, though I didn't do that on either install.

They need to fix this.

Adobe Acrobat Troubleshooting ReportUpdate failed. The patch has failed ... - Version: 9.2, 10/14/2009 03:10AM PST

"Same here: Update failed. The patch has failed because the application has been modified ..."

Never had any problems updating before. I guess Adobe hasn't tested the Updater with Snow Leopard (I think Mac OS X 10.6 is involved here)

Just tried to login with another user account or delete the "AUMProduct.aup" within the Acrobat 9.1.3 package (both from the Adobe support pages) without success.

Come on Adobe, we've paid you enough money to make a functioning updater !!!
