WebPics X ReviewEasy to use, does what it says, worth the price - Version: 2.8, 7/13/2007 07:36AM PST

I've been using WebPics for almost 6 years now, since before I started using iPhoto. I've put together around 100 albums and while they may not win any design awards, they work great and don't take HTML knowledge to maintain. I also like that it's built to upload to my own site, not requiring the dot-Mac (.Mac) subscription or using an online photo service (that might go out of business).

The updates the developer has done over the past 6 years have been really helpful, especially iPhoto album integration, additional formatting options, built-in publishing to the web via FTP.

My only "criticisms" are that there isn't any way to have your photos link to a online photo printing service and you have to maintain your own "index" page that shows all the galleries you've uploaded. Not deal-breakers, but would be nice to have when you have a lot of albums, like I do.

I think WebPics perfectly fills the niche between Apple's iWeb and more complicated solutions. Highly recommended.

WebPics X ReviewWhat it does, it does well - Version: 2.8, 9/20/2006 02:44PM PST

While not a full featured web site authoring program, for what the author says it's use is, it is excellent: displaying photos on the web. It's very easy to use, nice output, lots of options, and very easy to try out before purchasing. If you need to put your photographs on the web, especially on a regular basis, and don't feel like coding web pages by hand, it's easily worth the low price he is asking.

I've been using WebPics for years. It's so easy to use. Perfect for anyone who wants to put their pictures up on a webpage, and/or with thumbnails that link to the larger images. You don't have to know much about web programming, it does it all automatically. Highly recommended.

WebPics X ReviewOne of the best. - Version: 2.6.4a, 2/27/2005 10:56AM PST

I've been using this app for years. Quick and easy, and if you want to add a little more individuality to your WebPics page, just dump it into GoLive and tweak all you like. Steve has nurtured this baby along and supports it very well.

Just another want-to-be app messing the web with unfit code.

Why should one use this instead of typing decent code (if you like with one of the fine tools like Taco) and create proper, slim code for proper fast and compliant sites?
For free, in short time, with full control and with the right to stick "Valid HTML" and "Valid CSS" images onto his site ... and the consciouness that he didn't spoil the web!

WebPics X CommentaryA great photo to web page program - Version: 2.6.4a, 10/4/2004 04:41PM PST

I have been using WebPics since May, 2002. It was a great program then, and it is even better now! The developer continues to tweak the program and add new options.

I highly recommend the program for those people who want to take digital images and post them on a web page.

WebPics X ReviewStraightforward - Version: 2.6.3, 3/7/2004 12:31PM PST

I looked at quite a few programs of this type and I found this to be the most straightforward and useful. The galleries it makes are clean and uncluttered. In addition, I have found the author of the program to be open to suggestions and responsive to email. I would recommend this program highly to people who want to put their pics on the web without fuss, but with some sense of control.
