I've used many periodic tables before but this one is the best one I've ever seen (I'm studying chemistry). Especially useful are the several bonding properties tables as well as some physical properties such as work function - usually you'll find this information only spread across several different textbooks.
Details provided are accurate and developer fixes wrong information quickly.

Just to encourage the maker of PTX to generalize the idea for Elementary Particles.

Nice table, lots of information. Some data differ in detail from gPeriodic (the Fink version of the Unix freebie), but maybe only a chemist would notice. The more exotic data, such as lattice energies, require registration. If the contents are accurate in minutiae, or can be easily upgraded with revised data, probably worth the fifteen bucks. It might be easier to subscribe to annual updates for less money than to require users to purchase a license and give away freebies every time there's a version change? A chemist would probably (??) pop $5 every year to get this right and keep it right, especially if update's an automatic procedure. The rest of us looney tunes are just happy to remember that Silicon is number 14 and wouldn't bother, except for showing the neat program to all our friends.
As a chemist,…

I've seen many periodic tables. This is the first and last one I'll ever need! I strongly recommend it to any chemists or chemistry students.

though I have no practical use for it, it's fun to flashback to my old chemistry classes... guess my only suggestion might be to have the table grid in the individual elements work like an image map or even a rollover thing. I just have to say thank you for all of the effort that has been made to produce such a quality product!
Cheers, mate!
