Product Description:

So, we code web sites by hand. And one day, it hit us: our web workflow was wonky. Wed have our text editor open, with Transmit open to save files to the server. Wed be previewing in Safari, running queries in Terminal, using a CSS editor, and reading references on the web. This could be easier, we realized. And much cooler. Your Coda experience starts with Sites. Think of them as uber-favorites on cute little pieces of paper. When youre ready to start work, just double click a site Coda will instantly restore itself exactly as you left it, connecting to your server, restoring any splits and tabs, and allowing you to code, pronto. Work on websites locally, then publish them remotely to your server? Codas sites will automatically track your local changes, and do it all for you. Just hit the big, shiny Publish All button. Ka-plam! Up they go.

Coda ReviewExcellent Software - Version: 1.6.3, 4/3/2009 10:45AM PST

I develop and maintain several websites, one with 150+ pages, using Coda. Coda provides all of the tools I need to develop the web pages, including support for multiple sites and excellent support for css. If I need to change content across all of the pages of a site, the find and replace feature is fast and accurate. Coda's support is good, but sometimes a little sluggish to respond. However, this has never created a major issue, because, at least in my experience, the software is responsive and stable with no major bugs. One problem: sometimes files get marked for updating when no updates have been made, but that is really a minor issue. If you need a WYSIWYG tool, Coda is not the one for you. iWeb, part of Apple's iLife, is excellent for this and actually provides very good WYSIWYG tools, even for small businesses in many cases, but not all.

Coda ReviewSimply great software - Version: 1.6.2, 2/6/2009 01:39AM PST

Anyone fed up with the instability and bugs of Dreamweaver (and can code) should seriously try this app - rock solid stable, clean interface, no bloated feature creep, the power of Transmit FTP built-in, web clips and some pretty cool plugins starting to appear from the community too. Love it.
