Really nice game; but, it does not seem to support Multiple-Users (maybe I ned the Network version). Had to download another copy of the app for our other account to use it.
Fast and furious

One of the best freeware action games available. Can't wait till this reaches a 1.0 release.

. . . seems to be buggy in 10.3. When I first started playing this game, it worked great and was tons of fun. But would occationally crash. Over time, it has gotten to the point where it constantly crashes and I cannot play it any more. I think it might coinside with me installing drivers for the iShockII. It seemed to happen at about the same time. Did I mention the graphics on this game looks awesome?
Time to stop "improving" - Version: 0.70, 12/15/2003 12:00PM PST

This update fools with the "mouse" view, which previously allowed the user to view the board in all axis. Now, it seems you must pick a certain "altitude" and stick wtih it. Also, when using the mouse, the dock (if it is, like mine, set on the bottom of the screen wtih automatic hiding set on) keeps popping into view. Lastly, please fix the wonky settings for 1600 size resolutions. (This sounds like a lot of bi*ching, I know, but Tron is a really fine, fun game.)

I had played the classic version way back when I owned a second generation iBook SE466mhz with 192Mb, 8mb VRAM. I now use a Rev A 12" Powerbook with 640Mb, 32mb VRAM...AMAZING! I loved this on my iBook but now its clocking on average 102 FPS with all detail levels maxed and 1024x768 resolution. It's just as I remember it only BETTER! Graphically superb and the audio is good enuff to dump to an iPod! (And this is the BETA version!!!) Runs no problem under Panther 10.3.1
More of the same please
sskm :-)

glTron jitters left-right while playing, dies when setting prefs - Version: 0.70b1, 11/8/2003 10:45AM PST

Ran fine before 10.2.8, now lightcycle jitters left-right-left-right while playing and any attempt to change a preference crashes it.
Permissions seem correct (./Contents/MacOS/GLTron was chmoded to 770, no improvement).
Tried old version (0.66) but that one won't run at all, screen goes black to show intro screen and 2 seconds later it dies and finder windows reappear. Wish there was an error log somewhere..
I suspect an OpenGL issue with 10.2.8.

You did a fine job, sir. Very nice.
Especially the speeder features make for interesting games.
On extreme arena size one can achieve ridiculous speeds!
A brake would be even nicer. (maybe down to normal speed,
not halt since that would ruin the principle of course).
Graphics gone a lot smoother and faster since the screensaver
times :)
Now I dream of an icon in iChat offering TRON netplay to iChat
peers. :D
Keep up the good work! pld :)

If you are using Stuffit 8.0, try upgrading to version 8.0.1 which addresses a bug that may solve the problems you've been having.
The final release will probably use .dmg.gz to avoid these issues.
