try actually downloading the firmware file from the awful Cisco website; their registration procedure is the lengthiest I have ever seen. Of course I faked all my details, so what's the point I wonder. I am surprised they didn't ask for my life insurance details too as I was ready to shoot myself by the time I finally downloaded the file.

I had to upgrade the firmware on the card I had.
michaelj2 you can download the firmware from the Cisco web site. It will say it is a .exe file but you simply unstuff the file and it creates a .img file. Then use the utility to update the firmware by selecting the .img file. I have just done it without a problem.
