you're missing is that ASP only gives your local IP address. If you're using a router, that address is useless if, for example, you want to give your public IP to someone you want to allow to connect via file sharing (assuming you've opened the proper service port). IP Addresser defaults to giving the local IP, but you can change the preference to obtain your public address.

I missing here? I haven't downloaded not used it, so will not rate it, but what does this do that Apple System Profiler can't do? ASP gives my IP address.
