Simply outstanding RAW conversion and image correction for supported body/lens combinations. This has become the essential first step in my workflow. Works well out of the box, but beyond that the learning curve is a bit steep due to the somewhat clunky UI, and the very non-Mac like file system navigation and other oddities. Excellent support from the developer.

Absolutely superb auto/manual image correction software...no competitor (including camera companies' own software) is even close...as long as you're using a camera body and lens pairing which the DxO Lab has analyzed and published as a module.

- Optics correction
- RAW conversion
- Exposure optimization
- Color control
- Dust removal
- High ISO noise removal (before processing...2-stop gain)

But if there's no module, it's still a good RAW converter but w/o the overwhelming advantage.

Unfortunately, it's not integrated with Apple's Aperture via a plug-in so time-consuming workarounds are required.

But, it's well integrated with Adobe Lightroom.
