Product Description:

Virex 7.5 is the latest release of Virex for Mac OS X. This Virex release includes an updated revision of the Network Associates Olympus scanning engine, which provides consistent, industry-leading virus detection and removal rates.

What's new in this version:

Virex 7.5 Console -- Enables the configuration of Virex through an easy-to-use interface.
Active Scanner -- A new feature to Virex that provides continuous anti-virus protection on the hard disk from network connections and the Internet.
Background Scanner -- A new feature that permanently scans all files on your system looking for infected files.
Scan Mounted Volume -- A new feature that initiates a scan of a volume such as a CD or camera when one is locally mounted. With this scanner you can scan a large volume or device for infection before interfacing it with your system.
On-Demand Scanner -- Allows you to initiate a scan at any time by dragging and dropping selected files into the console or through a file open dialog box.
Core Scanner -- A new feature that utilizes the latest virus-scanning engine to provide functionality for the Active Scanner, the Background Scanner, and the Scan Mounted Volume scanner.
HealthCheck -- A new feature that ensures your system is protected and any outage is minimized by monitoring the operation of all other scanners and restarts them if they fail.
VirexReporter -- A new feature that reports infected files found by scanners. It provides tracking and reporting to the anti-virus scanning so you can see where threats to your system may be coming from.
Virex Schedule Editor -- A new feature that enables you to schedule automated scans and updates to virus definition (DAT) files and software components that are available online.
eUpdate -- Allows you to update DAT files and the virus-scanning engine. eUpdate keeps your anti-virus software continuously updated with new information on viruses and scanning capabilities.

This should wrap what would you expect from a company making antivirus to run on an advanced OS like Leopard. Nothing.

Sad thing is, Intego really needs a real rival to stop their insane pricing policy. With rivals like these, there is no hope.

Unable to get an english speaking rep for a refund.
Company is totally isolated from end user. Unable to locate.
ALL phone numbers end up in the Philippines. NO exceptions!!!
Had to charge back with cc company.
AVOID at all costs!!!
If you have a problem it will never get solved.

This program. ver. 8.6 made my home folder disappear right after installing it. I had to go into my guest profile.. looked in the users folder and my profile folder was empty. I downloaded the program again and used its uninstaller and my home folder reappear ..... scared me bad.

Before uninstalling I did try a few things from the new profile I had just created.. I couldn't even repair permissions..
