Product Description:

This product will install the Samba 2.2.2 server on your Mac OS X. No need to compile the source, simply doubleclick the package icon.
Samba is most often used to share files on your computer with other computers in your network. It does so using the CIFS/SMB protocol. This will allow primarily Windows computers in the network to see the files you have shared trough the network neighbourhood.
For configuring of the server I have created a tool called Samba Server Config Tool. Available from the developer-site.

What's new in this version:

Mac OS X 10.1 approved
Using Samba 2.2.2. A list of improvements in this version can be found at the samba.org
Fixed a small bug in the StartupParameters file that might be responsible for the problems with servers not starting up. It might also solve the problems with people having to set their hostname.
We preserve the smbpasswd file when you upgrade.
