This is a fantastic application.

People use to iPhoto might find the interface a little bit strange. It does take a little time to get use to the basic usage, but once you get it it's very nice to work on Gimp and, of course, there is far more options than iPhoto.

I bought a small colorfull book to get started - and I must say I think it did help a lot. Now I can to some pretty nice things with Gimp althouhg I'm sure I'm far away from mastering 20% - if so - of its functionalities.

I thank you the Gimp developers and all the free software community members for sharing this code.

If you an amateur photograph, give Gimp a try!

Gimp 2.6.4 REQUIRES X11 v2.3.2 which can be found at http://xquartz.macosforge.org/trac/wiki. Suggest you read FAQ's/etc at the site before jumping in. There are some gotchas. Cheers, Al.
