Piece of Garbage...

Quite honestly, it's a piece of garbage software. It doesn't activate the L3 cache on third-party Sonnet cards at all. So, it's really not third-party compatible. In fact, I really don't see anything that it does, as previous users have commented. This is cosmetic-ware at best. Don't waste your money. There are other FREE pieces of software which do much better jobs. I prefer Powerlogix CPU Director. While it's not perfect, at least it actually does several things and actually works with third-party CPU cards.
panic , money thrown away for nothing

I recently bought the 3.4.1, I knew the 2.6.1 under MacOS 9 which was quite helpful. Having quite a patchy machine (9600/sonnet Crescendo g4/800, Acard 133, Radeon 7000, USB 2 card, Audio media 3, Firewwire card, Ethernet card, Xpostfacto 4.0.5, MacOS 10.3.9) I had to face problems activating the L2/L3 cache since upgrading from 10.2.8. Sonnet Cache 1.3 was fast especially during startup but didn't result in a stable setup, PL Director 1.5f caused kernel panics, so does MAChSpeed (I wonder what the network related MAC has to do in it's name...) Control was freezing the machine just before the LogIn screen should arrive. While Director 2.1 works flawlessly now, I didn't go the troubleshooting path suggested by XLR8 (...pluggin in and out PCI cards ...) about 17 $ for nothing, I didn't even get the chance to type in my serial. Crap. (BTW I deinstalled the other drivers and startupitems before testing XLR8)
