EvoCam ReviewEmail support is non-existent - Version: 3.6.4, 6/20/2009 02:52PM PST

Evocam is excellent and I've been using it for years. But if you need technical assistance, forget it. Lately, I've been having a problem and emailed them for some help. It's been more than a week and I have not heard from them yet. Great software, but lousy technical support. Any alternatives to evocam?

EvoCam ReviewUsing with TrendNet - Version: 3.6.1, 12/28/2008 02:47PM PST

I've been playing with EvoCam used with two TrendNet network cameras and the built-in camera on my iMac. It's well worth the price. I've successfully setup my airport extreme so that it maps the port of the iMac and see the EvoCam web server from outside my local network. (the EvoCam documentation doesn't explain how to do that.) I'm still experimenting with using the motion capture settings. Given the price I am amazed at how many features EvoCam has. The combination of the cheap TrendNet cameras and the inexpensive server software allows you to set up a very powerful video setup. It wold be good program for a bed and breakfast that wanted to setup a webcam of the view of the local mountaintop.

I'm really happy with EvoCam. I liked the fifteen days trial with all features available.

I've bought it and already used its motion detection feature to solve some office mysteries. (Like who was stealing candy from my candy bowl!)

Fabulous.
