Product Description:

AIM for Mac will allow you to select your own Buddy sounds, wallpaper and animated Buddy Icons from the AIM Expressions library. This is the Real AIM, not just an AIM-compatible IM client, so file transfers are fast and efficient. Send files, folders and pictures to all your Buddies.

What's new in this version:

Fixed group renaming issue. You can now rename AIM Blast groups (http://blast.aim.com/).
Fixed error message when encountering an issue during file transfer.
Fixed occasional crash when inviting users to Buddy Chat.
Fixed bug when displaying Buddy Icon image in AIM conversation logs.
Various bug fixes and optimizations.
Updated Welcome Window.
Improved the Edit Buddy window user experience.
The screen name, password, save in Keychain, and auto sign in fields are disabled during sign in.
Inline group name editing was enabled.

Please...what's the point? The only thing this things good for is allowing other mac users a way to use FAR superior iChat... without having to pay for a mobile me account.

I mean c'mon... "you can send your pictures to all your buddies?" Ya know, there's this cool thing out there,.. it's called "email."

I find it amusing that AIM was an editor pick (fancy blue text) for years, but now it's not even worthy of an editor mention anymore. the fact that not even macupdate or versiontracker support it anymore as BOTH have removed it from editors picks says something in that of itself. AOL should really take a hint and either fix it by completing the feature set to actually be useful or just give it up again like they did before.
