On my iBook G4/1.33 running 10.4.11, Release 9 caused Safari 4 to pinwheel endlessly on pages with heavy java. Checked Activity window, and it's stalling on the javascript.
I've cleaned all caches, etc. and hope that will do the trick. Just wanted folks to have a heads up.

After upgrading to Java release 8, the Javascript toggle function wouldn't work in Camino. Couldn't revert to previous version, even an attempt to reinstall release 7 with Pacifist failed. Thankfully I had made a system backup the day before, running with release 7. Camino works again; what else had been or could have been broken by version 8 I don't know and frankly, I'm not keen to find out.
