Product Description:

This office productivity suite for Mac OS X includes desktop applications such as a word processor, a spreadsheet, a presentation manager, and a drawing program, with a user interface and feature set similar to that of other office suites. OpenOffice beta 3.2 - a very good start. - Version: 3.2 Beta, 10/29/2009 07:34AM PST

Downloading, mounting .dmg. no problems.
First test: open an existing MS Word .doc file, basic with some graphics. Excellent rendition, no formatting glitches, language recognized automatically.
Second test.: a complex .doc file, with columns, bilingual, graphics, diagrams, flow charts. No issues.

I am NOT a power user, but this beta seems pretty good to me.
