This is kind of one step above mickey mouse. There are all kinds of bugs, Many recording get distortion no matter how I ride the meters Like I said its for amatuers .
SO when when do we stop laughing when we note that they want $80 buckaroos for it.?
They should be crawling away, humiliated
But then they are a gaming company whose director seems to have a fetish for the type of females shown in all in his ads/site/corporate art work..she even pops up if you mis-register...stating "naughty naughty,you must pay for a license, or else get a pair of glasses, lunkhead!"
Now at $7.95- ill be down there with my CC in a NY minute

Apparently, you have to "renew" your serial number, every few months. Apparently they are more concerned with piracy than selling their product. I sent the a "renewal" request and I giot this:
Registration found, but can't send email.

I've been using Sound Studio a while now and I know there were a lot more things that needed to be fixed other than the Help menu.
After all this time only those 3 bugs were fixed? I'm going to have to re-think my support for future versions of this product.

I've tested Sound Studio with bad results:
it hangs on a simple aiff-file, QT-Player and iTunes can play the song, this app can't.
I converted it the file to wave then, to get a chance to test this app.
Then after a short while of editing, it crashed after using normalize, the same problems with two other files.
I can't understand that, Aiff is often and longtime used an Macs.
Very poor.
My Mac is a Powerbook G4 1Ghz, with 1GB RAM, 120 GB HD, Mac OS 10.4.11.
In the meantime I've downloaded Amadeus, another audio app for the semipro.
Amadeus worked well, loaded/played my files, 3 hours of editing and no single problem so far, - so what do I buy now?...
And Amadaeus looks better and is cheaper....

I have bought this app. like the honest person I am . I have left messages on there answering machine I have written emails on there form email send emails from my account asking to give me my serial number as the reg,. is not working.
NOT ANSWER. this also hapened last time and it took like 1 month to get an answer..
this is the worst service you will ever find.. call there office it says if you have an emergency .. hahha . I did . at business hours. get an answering machine.
Buch of jerk offs there .. taking money and no service. I use this but now I bought peak.. well big difference in price but the service is great ..
NEVER BUY THIS SOFTWARE.. if you are lookng for service minded support..
this company really does not cut it in my eyes.. so bad service..
and yes I am frustrated that i have to come here and slam a product that I use becasuse the dev. is a jerk, bad bad service. I guess that is why only 6000 people have downloaded this. to bad I paid and got screwed. I hope this will help someone to stay away from the problems I have had with them .

The lack of release notes wasn't actually something we were aware of. We didn't even know VT had updated this entry until we went to update it ourselves today.
VT scans previous software submissions' sites for updates constantly and updates the entries automatically really quickly, usually before we can get to it ourselves. When VT does it automatically, there are generally no release notes included.
We'll be fixing the lack of notes for the new release after posting this comment. Apologies for any confusion it may have caused, guys.

You would also think by now that they would have changed the information in the About dialog to reflect the new owner, and changed the link in the Help to go do the new site and to have the right strings in the help info. But I guess that's too much to ask.
When this product launched it was well maintained and worth the money. Now, it seems to be lost among all of Freeverse's game library.
