" Apple has announced that Mac OS X version 10.1 will be available in September 2001, offering an upgrade program to current OS X users. As Apple updates and adds features to the operating system, we expect to increase the number of compatible drivers and the functionality of those drivers. Because we believe Apple will restore some key product functionality in that release, we are concentrating our efforts on 10.1 so that we deliver the best possible drivers. We hope to offer OS X version 10.1 drivers for the EPSON Stylus Color 740, 760, 860, 777, 880, 900, 900N, 980 and 980N, as well as the EPSON Stylus Photo 870, 875DC, 1270, 2000P, 780, 785EPX, 890 and 1280, including future products. This fall we also plan to provide drivers for the Perfection 1250, 1650, Expression 1680 and 1640XL scanners. " It doesn't look like these drivers made it into 10.1. With the release of the 9500 driver, it looks like they're going at it from the top down. Hopefully I won't have much longer to wait for a 980 driver.
