Product Description:

Designed for people without access to commercial image design applications. ButtonMaker should offer the functionality anyone is looking for in a basic (an open source) program such as itself. Featuring over 20 button designs and support for plug-ins, you can easily create the button effects you wish to include on your website. There is a Carbon version available at the Micahsoft website. It currently works in the OSX Public Beta, but compatibility with MacOS X 1.0 is unknown.
The source code for ButtonMaker 2.4 in its current stage is available from here. The code is in a rather messy state (as described in the docs), so don't say you've not been warned.

What's new in this version:

Button widths are no longer limited to anywhere from 33-500 pixels. Maximum and Minimum width are now determined from the currrently selected plug-in.
This update should also fix a few bugs in the 2.x versions, although you may not notice the changes. Most involve the usage of plug-ins with certain dimentions.

I used this to the buttons here in frame: http://www.disordinialimentari.org How to make better: -in italian and spanish i'd like to use the letters with accents like èàò:unsupported -i'd like to change the font, the size of letter and caps/small letters -background images as well -background color can be changed: i took the background color -uniform color- from the face in the logo: it's not uniform. also the ability to use a backgr. pic would be great -at least some more shapes fot the button -i want to either have the color i choose on background - or PREFERRABLY- USE HEX COLORS; can u add a hex color thingy? -very small, very fast; if you want to have a look on how these buttons look, please look on the link i gave above. So, looking for the next version :) But using meanwhile while i need mini buttons

you can't beat the simplicity of creating a button. Would be great if the background color can be changed as well.
